Halloween

I am very excited about Halloween tonight. At first, I didn't know if I would dress up because I thought I might be too old, but then I figured I wanted candy so I decided to. I am dressing up as Harry Potter or Hermione Granger. I got the idea from last year my old teacher, Mrs. Schmitt, had me read one of the Harry Potter books for IDR. I really liked it so I decided to watch the movie too. I will probably read the other books in the series too because I have all the books. Anyways I liked the book a lot and my mom asked me what I wanted to be for Halloween so I said I would be a character from Harry  Potter. I already have my costume, we got it at Target a week or two ago. I have a robe and a scarf. The colors are Gryffindor and my favorite characters in there are Harry and Hermione so I will have to decide which one to be. I will put pictures of both characters at the end of this blog and comment on which one you think I should be.
Another thing we are doing tonight besides trick or treating is we are having some friends over afterward. I'm guessing we will go trick or treating with them too but I'm not sure. Anyways we are having Vada's family over for chili, cinema rolls, and probably a bunch of candy. I don't know what time they will leave but luckily they don't have to go far because they are our neighbors. I hope if you celebrate Halloween it will be fun for you too. Here is my story that I wrote in language arts class. I decided to name it The Search. If you want to know what it's about, I wrote a little about that in my last post. (This might take a while for you to read because it's really long.) I've always wondered what my real mother is like. Does she have the same brown curly hair like me? Band

You've probably heard that our school has a band where kids can play instruments, well today I am going to tell you a little about it and what I play. I have been in band since fifth grade and I really like it. I play in the percussion section. We play the drums, xylophones, and a bunch of tiny instruments. My favorite to play is the vibraphone. You may have seen it before, it is the big brownish colored one. It is also really long so you kind of have to walk and play it. Right now we are focusing on playing three songs for the Winter concert. We are playing three songs for the Winter concert. One song we are playing is Jingle Bell Rock. For that song, I am on the snare drums with Olivia. The part did not sound very good at all so Mr. Shumaker helped us change it so that it sounds better. Another song we are playing is The Tempest. Hi guys, today I am going to be writing off of a prompt Miss Anderson gave the class. Here it is: On our hot bus ride to school, we noticed the driver looking pale and drowsy. Before we knew it, he was fast asleep! Nobody knew what to do. Obviously, none of us can drive so we had to think of a different way. Karen said if we all work together and think of a plan we can try to wake him up or somehow drive the bus. The problem was he fell onto the gas pedal and the bus was going very fast. A few people tried to move him but he was too heavy! Then we came up with another idea, but we had to do it quicklly beause we were heading down a very steep hill. And at the bottom of the hill was the river! So I climbed up in the front seat and started pressing on the break. It squeeled loudly. It started slowing down and we stopped right in front of the river! We were all so relieved and we opened the door so we could get off.
