Band

You've probably heard that our school has a band where kids can play instruments, well today I am going to tell you a little about it and what I play. I have been in band since fifth grade and I really like it. I play in the percussion section. We play the drums, xylophones, and a bunch of tiny instruments. My favorite to play is the vibraphone. You may have seen it before, it is the big brownish colored one. It is also really long so you kind of have to walk and play it. Right now we are focusing on playing three songs for the Winter concert. We are playing three songs for the Winter concert. One song we are playing is Jingle Bell Rock. For that song, I am on the snare drums with Olivia. The part did not sound very good at all so Mr. Shumaker helped us change it so that it sounds better. Another song we are playing is The Tempest. The Crazy Bus Ride!

I was reading the comments on my recent post and Claire Truesdale gave me the idea to make a sequel to the writing prompt. So here's more to the story. That was the craziest dream I've ever had! I rolled over and tried to go to sleep but I couldn't. I just kept on thinking about the bus ride dream. Soon enough my alarm clock went off. I turned it off and went upstairs to eat breakfast. I made some waffles and then went to brush my teeth. "Goodbye, see you after school!" My mom said as I walked out the door heading for the bus. When I got there I sat down next to Karen and Vada like I usually do. The day was starting off just like my dream did and that was really weird. We started talking for a while and then, of course, we see the bus driver asleep. It felt like a slap in the face. I should have known that he would fall asleep! The Search

Here is my story that I wrote in language arts class. I decided to name it The Search. If you want to know what it's about, I wrote a little about that in my last post. (This might take a while for you to read because it's really long.) I've always wondered what my real mother is like. Does she have the same brown curly hair like me? I wonder if she's as short as I am. "Beep beep!" The car horn screams. "Jane! We're here!" Will says. I look out the window and see this huge white house with millions of windows. "Grab your things and I'll show you to your room," Will says. I go inside, up a bunch of stairs and into a pretty big room with a huge closet and an attached bathroom.
