Hello, I am Caitlyn Archer and I will be telling you a little about myself. I am twelve years old and go to Riverbend Middle school. I like to draw build things and do crafts. The clubs I am in this year are Science Club and FCCLA. In my family, I have one sister named Hailey. She is thirteen and is in eighth grade. I also have a little brother named Aiden. He is seven years old and is in first grade. My parents are Crystal and Kevin Archer. My mom works at the Boat Club which is right across the street from our school. My dad works at Iowa Select Farms, but he isn't working right now because he was in a biking accident and he broke his collarbone. Also, I have a dog named Toby. He is a little over two years old. I hope you had a fun time reading about me.

Here is my story that I wrote in language arts class. I decided to name it The Search. If you want to know what it's about, I wrote a little about that in my last post. (This might take a while for you to read because it's really long.) I've always wondered what my real mother is like. Does she have the same brown curly hair like me? I wonder if she's as short as I am. "Beep beep!" The car horn screams. "Jane! We're here!" Will says. I look out the window and see this huge white house with millions of windows. Band

You've probably heard that our school has a band where kids can play instruments, well today I am going to tell you a little about it and what I play. I have been in band since fifth grade and I really like it. I play in the percussion section. We play the drums, xylophones, and a bunch of tiny instruments. My favorite to play is the vibraphone. You may have seen it before, it is the big brownish colored one. It is also really long so you kind of have to walk and play it. Right now we are focusing on playing three songs for the Winter concert. We are playing three songs for the Winter concert. One song we are playing is Jingle Bell Rock. For that song, I am on the snare drums with Olivia. The part did not sound very good at all so Mr. Shumaker helped us change it so that it sounds better. Another song we are playing is The Tempest. Hi guys, today I am going to be writing off of a prompt Miss Anderson gave the class. Here it is: On our hot bus ride to school, we noticed the driver looking pale and drowsy. Before we knew it, he was fast asleep! Nobody knew what to do. Obviously, none of us can drive so we had to think of a different way. Karen said if we all work together and think of a plan we can try to wake him up or somehow drive the bus. The problem was he fell onto the gas pedal and the bus was going very fast. A few people tried to move him but he was too heavy! Then we came up with another idea, but we had to do it quicklly beause we were heading down a very steep hill. And at the bottom of the hill was the river! So I climbed up in the front seat and started pressing on the break. It squeeled loudly. It started slowing down and we stopped right in front of the river! We were all so relieved and we opened the door so we could get off.
